A Cat is Not as Cute as a Kitten

A cat is not as cute as a kitten
A cat is bigger
A kitten is as tiny as a mitten
A cat is furry
But kittens are as soft like a chicken
Cats are cute and sweet
But kittens are as sweet as Brittan
                                                                 Cats are furry and cute
A cat is not as cute as a kitten

What I Think About Poems and My Poem

Today we began a poetry unit. I think poetry is confusing but some is sweet. There are all types of poetry. Sad, sweet, angry and others to. Most poetry is very confusing to me its good but not my favorite.
We read Love That Dog by Sharon Creech.
Pause 1: There kind of confusing. Its sort of mean saying that poetry is bad. But it’s a matter of opinion.
Pause 2: How are these poems? Aren’t poems supposed to have rhythm and rhyme? Still really confusing.

Pause 3: Is this a story or poem? Sounds like a story to me.

Pause 4: It’s a great story. It’s sort of cool that it’s a story/poem about poems. Still confusing it goes from this to that back to this then back to that. Like from the dog to a poem back to a dog then a poem.

Pause 5: I think it’s boring. Now it’s going between coming to his school to Walter dean Meyers writing him back. I’m way confused.

Pause 6: I love this story.  Poem? I don’t think so. This is so confusing.

End: Rambles Walter Deen brownies put his name on it. I like the story but poem? No way not even close. It’s not my favorite but it’s my matter of opinion.

Jack got his inspiration from Walter Dean Meyers and his every day life.

Here is my attempt of writing a poem.

I love my horse I love my horse
                                                He’s taller than a tree
My horse is cute my horse is sweet
                                                He’s just right for me
I love my horse I love my horse

Halloween Night

We wrote scary stories in out class. Please read mine and comment.
Halloween Night

It was a dark Halloween night, two teenagers drove out of city limits to the abandoned park. Once they parked the hourly news came on. Jess tried to change it but Katie stopped him. “The criminal Zenar escaped from he ran out o city prison limits. He is wearing ripped black tux with a huge butcher knife BEWARE!” Jess tried to convince Katie that he wouldn’t come here but she was wide eyed and shaking with fear. Finally Jess put his rusty old pick up truck into gear and started to drive. Then something jumped on top of the truck. Jess trying to be brave slowly got out of the truck. On top was Zenar with a huge butcher knife. The next day there was two funerals. No one knows what really happened to Katie or Jess.

Leopards

We wrote expository essays in class. Please read mine about leopards.
LOOK!!!It’s a panther pardus!!! What is that? It’s a leopard! Leopards are amazing creatures, they have a bunch of physical features that help classify them as
mammals. Have you ever wondered what they eat or how they protect themselves? Leopard’s physical features make it a beautiful creature. Each leopard has a beautiful back round of pale, a cream stomach and solid black polka dots everywhere on its furry body. No 2 leopards have the same pattern of polka dots. Usually leopards weigh about 82lbs-200lbs and, a leopard is about 3.4ft-6.6ft. All of these physical features help super animal scientist to classify an amazing leopard as a mammal.
Leopards are magnificent mammals. They breathe through their lungs. Just like humans! Also leopards are warm blooded so that proves that leopards are mammals.  All leopards are born alive not in eggs. Each leopard can have up to 5 cubs all together. Have you ever wondered how leopards protect themselves and what they eat?
Leopards are intelligent when it comes to hunting or fighting. Most leopards live in Sub-Saharan Africa so they have quite a bit of animals to eat. All leopards are carnivores so they eat animals like monkeys or anything they can get their paws on. Most leopards are at the top of the food chain. Just like humans! The only thing that could take down a leopard is another leopard. When 2 leopards are fighting they use their claws and teeth but if a leopard is weak it usually just climbs up a tree and blends in with the tree. So leopards are very smart, especially when it comes to hunting and fighting.
Leopards are amazing creatures. Their physical features make them mammals. They are especially smart when it comes to hunting and fighting. I hope that leopards never get endangered because they are amazing creatures.
